We have 3 generations on our farm, so you can meet almost the entire family!
Great Pyrenees is one of the few breeds that is known to be a babysitter of small children, and considered chicken safe yet they excel as livestock guardians. Our puppies have proven themselves to be amazing ESD's emotional support dogs, family pets, guardians & psychiatric therapy dogs. GP's are truly an amazing and versatile breed!
All our breeding dams and sires come from parents that have been health tested and are OFA certified. All our adults get a permanent OFA certification at 2 years old. We strive to obtain certification and use the best for our confidence as well as yours! We have all our adults CHIC tested for hip & elbow dysplasia, patella luxation, and heart. We are also starting DNA testing for the top 3 diseases that are known to GP and that are recommended by the AKC parent club Great Pyrenees Club Of America. We want you to know that we take our role as breeders very seriously and have worked very hard these many years to provide you with the best of the best well rounded and healthy Great Pyrenees to join your family.
To top it off Diamond, our first dam's grand-sire is Hollywood movie star AKC "Freedom Farmz Angel Gabriel". Her grand-dam AKC "Freedom Farmz Penelope" was also a movie star and has 6 champions in her pedigree. Although being related to a famous movie star she comes from a line of working livestock guardians and distant champions. Best yet she is a huge teddy bear to us, and very loyal. Her name should have been shadow because she loves to always be with us. She came to us all the way from Ohio and she was raised with goats, sheep, and chickens and she is a great guardian. She loves kids and also going for rides in the car. We love her classic big build, bear head and her super sweet temperament. She is very quiet and will not bark unless needed. She is a big girl about 115 lbs. She has retired from breeding but is still a great babysitter of our puppies. She passed her AKC Canine Good Citizen test and will be a therapy dog now too! Not Your Typical Backyard or House Pets... Our dogs are purebred and AKC registered & OFA Hip certified and they are exceptionally sweet to us but very faithful at eliminating predators and alerting us to strangers. We breed for color and teddy bear heads & dispositions to their people & animals. Pyrenees are very versatile. They are best suited to working outdoors protecting the herd but they thrive on being part of the family too and especially love to tend little children. They do rounds securing their perimeter and patrol from vantage points. They are the best investment to protect your family, livestock, poultry and they would love to be your best friend too!
