AKC is a world of knowledge and an invaluable resource for breeders and owners alike! Owing an AKC registered dog is the best investment as AKC keeps giving help all along the way of the puppies life. AKC is also the most secure place to find a puppy because each breeder has to prove ownership of dams, sires, and or provide proof of owning the litter prior to registering the litter. Then every litter has to be registered prior to listing a litter on AKC marketplace. This offers great peace of mind for a future adopter.

What You Need to Know About Giardia in Dogs
www.AKC.org
Giardia in dogs does not always cause problems, but when it does it is highly unpleasant. The parasite inhibits your dog’s ability to properly absorb nutrients, water, and electrolytes, which leads to diarrhea and weight loss. The diarrhea can be intermittent or continual, especially in puppies, and failure to diagnose and treat the disease can lead to severe weight loss and even death in extreme cases. The disease is particularly dangerous for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with compromised immune systems.
